| Two drug peddler arrested, 47.70 gms of heroin recovered | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, Feb 9: Continuing its drive against drug trafficking and substances abuse, Miran Sahib Police achieved one more success by recovering 47.70 gms of Heroin(Chita) like substance from two drug under the jurisdiction of P/S Miran Sahib.
A Police team of Police Station Miran Sahib led by SHO P/S Miran Sahib, Inspector Jatinder Singh under supervision of SDPO R D Pura & SP Headquarters headquarters jammu established naka and during checking/frisking arrested two drug peddlers namely Gurpreet Singh S/o Ajeet Singh R/o simbal Miran sahib and recovered 5.70 gms heroin and Abhi Jangral s/o Ashok Kumar R/o Kotli-mian Fateh Miran sahib and recovered 42 grams of heroin from their possession.
In this regard, a case FIR No.19/2026 U/S 8/21/22 NDPS Act stands registered at Police Station Miran Sahib, accused persons have been arrested & contraband Seized. Further investigation is going on to trace out the further nexus and work out backward/forward linkages.
Jammu Police reiterates its firm resolve to eradicate the menace of drugs from society and appeals to the public to cooperate by sharing information related to drug trafficking and abuse. |
