AI Conclave 2026 held at Shri Vishwakarma Skill University

Gurugram, Feb 10: Prof. Dinesh Kumar, Vice Chancellor of Shri Vishwakarma Skill University (SVSU), stated that Artificial Intelligence will make higher education more innovative and employment-oriented. AI is becoming increasingly powerful and will play a revolutionary role in national capacity building. He was speaking while inaugurating the AI Conclave 2026 on Tuesday at the university’s Transit Campus in Gurugram.
Several AI experts from the industry participated in the conclave. In addition to SVSU students, more than 150 students from various schools in Gurugram and Palwal also attended. The students’ AI-based smart projects were the main attraction of the event.
This programme is part of the national initiative “AI for Atmanirbhar Bharat: HEI Pre-Summit Engagements” under the India AI Impact Summit 2026, led by the Ministry of Education’s Innovation Cell (MIC) in collaboration with AICTE.
The conclave aims to promote AI awareness, foundational skills, responsible adoption, and innovation, while preparing students and researchers for emerging academic and career pathways in Artificial Intelligence.
As the chief guest, Vice Chancellor Prof. Dinesh Kumar said that AI will rapidly change roles and skill sets in the future. The proper use of AI is set to bring about major transformations. He added that India is on the path to becoming self-reliant from designing to fabrication.
Prof. Usha Batra, Chairperson of the Computer Science and Information Technology Department, delivered an in-depth lecture on the role of AI in research and academic writing. Venkatesh Bharti, Co-founder and Director of NeuroVentra Technologies, explained the intricacies of algorithms that impact real life. Jyoti Kataria, Associate Director at Oracle AI Cloud Solutions, spoke on the diverse dimensions of Generative AI Services. Meanwhile, Pranav Kumar, Technical Lead at Wipro, shed light on the complete journey from data to decisions.
On this occasion, Prof. Sujata Shahi (Director, Transit Campus), Chanchal Bhardwaj (Director, IRA), Prof. Joy Kuriakose, Dr. Monika Jangra, Dr. Gurpreet Kaur, Dr. Shiv Kumar, Anu Chaudhary, Madhuri, Neeraj Kumar, and Sonal Garg were present.
