Early Times Report

Hiranagar, Feb 12: Government Degree College (GDC), Hiranagar organized an educational visit of its students to the Atal Tinkering Lab (ATL) with the objective of promoting innovation, creativity, and hands-on learning among young learners. The visit was conducted under the patronage of the worthy Principal, Prof. Pragya Khanna, who has consistently emphasized experiential learning and alignment with the vision of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020. The initiative aimed at exposing students to emerging technologies, design thinking, and practical problem-solving skills.
During the visit, students were introduced to various state-of-the-art facilities available in the Atal Tinkering Lab, including 3D printers, robotics kits, IoT devices, and basic electronics tools. The resource persons at the ATL demonstrated live projects and explained how innovative ideas can be transformed into workable prototypes. Students actively interacted with the mentors, asked insightful questions, and showed keen interest in understanding the process of ideation, design, and execution. The exposure visit proved to be highly enriching as it encouraged students to think beyond conventional classroom learning and develop a scientific temper. It also inspired them to explore entrepreneurship, research, and innovation as viable career pathways. Speaking on the occasion, Prof. Pragya Khanna appreciated the efforts of the ATL team for their cooperation and support. She remarked that such initiatives play a crucial role in nurturing creativity, critical thinking, and technological competence among students, preparing them to become self-reliant and future-ready citizens.
