Traffic police Jammu issues safety advisory amid Holi celebrations

JAMMU, Mar 3: Traffic Police Jammu has advised the general public to refrain from wrong parking- road side parking during the celebration of Holi festival as the same causes unnecessary jamming and congestion. Further, the motorists have been informed that strict action shall be taken against drunken driving, over-speeding, Stunt biking, reckless driving, dangerous driving, without Crash Helmet riding.
"Special focus shall be given to prevent Stunt biking. The riders shall not perform stunt biking which endangers their life as well as of other people. In addition to this, all the Holi event organizers in City Jammu shall ensure to follow traffic rules and regulations during the event so that safe and hassle-free movement of traffic can be ensured during the celebration of festival," the Traffic Authorities have advised.
