JAMMU, Mar 3: Cadet Saher Sharma of the Air Wing, 1 Jammu & Kashmir Air Squadron NCC, Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University (SMVDU), has brought laurels to the university by being awarded the prestigious Medal of Excellence for her exceptional performance and dedication. The honour was conferred by Major General Anupinder Bevli, VSM, Additional Director General (ADG), Jammu, Kashmir & Ladakh Directorate, during an official ceremony organized by the NCC Directorate. Cadet Saher Sharma was selected for this distinguished award in recognition of her excellent and commendable performance at the National Integration Camp (NIC). Throughout the camp, she displayed outstanding discipline, leadership qualities, teamwork, and a strong sense of national unity, which set her apart among cadets from across the country.The National Integration Camp aims to foster unity, cultural understanding, and brotherhood among youth belonging to different states and regions of India. Cadet Saher Sharma actively participated in various activities conducted during the camp and demonstrated exemplary conduct, commitment, and enthusiasm, earning appreciation from senior officers and instructors. This remarkable achievement is a moment of immense pride for Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University, the NCC unit, and the entire region. It highlights the university's consistent efforts in encouraging students to actively participate in NCC activities and develop qualities such as discipline, leadership, patriotism, and social responsibility. On this proud achievement, Prof. Pragati Kumar, Vice Chancellor, SMVDU, and Ajay Kumar Sharma, Registrar, SMVDU, extended their heartfelt congratulations to the NCC cadet and conveyed their best wishes for her continued success in future endeavors. Kirti, NCC Incharge (Air Wing), also congratulated Cadet Saher Sharma for bringing laurels to the University and encouraged her to continue striving for excellence in all her pursuits.
