Free Medical Camp organized at Sanasar Ramban

JAMMU, Mar 6: Under the aegis of Jammu Sector CRPF, on 06 Mar 26, 84 Bn CRPF organized a day long Free Medical Camp at Sanasar Ramban. Sanasar, a cup shaped meadow, situated at 2050 m above MSL, is a popular tourist destination, famous for its lake and breathtaking surrounding scenic beauty. The camp was organized to provide healthcare services to the needy villagers of the far flung villages where no such facilities are available.
The camp was inaugurated by N Ranbir Singh Commandant 84 Bn, in the presence of Vikram Singh Second in Command, Roop Ram Meena Asstt Cdt, Tulasi Ram Sarpanch, and other prominent villagers.
During the camp, more than 300 villagers, including elders, women and children were provided free medical consultations, screening for lifestyle diseases such as hypertension, diabetes, BMI, etc. Special health check-ups for women and children were carried out, focusing on their overall well-being and early detection of health issues. Also, free medicine and diagnostic tests like ECG, Blood and Sugar were also provided. A free First Aid Kit, with basic medicines, was handed over to the Sarpanch and the Village Health Worker, for future use.
During the camp, the Commandant stated that CRPF is the largest paramilitary Force, and besides performing security duties, the Force undertakes such social outreach programmes to strengthen its connect with the local populace.
The medical team of 84 Bn included Dr Anu Gorke SMO/DC, and Dr Biranmol Singh MO/AC and paramedics. The Sarpanch and the villagers expressed their deep appreciation to the 84 Bn CRPF for organizing the second such Free Medical Camp in their remote village, within 03 years.
