JAMMU, Mar 7: The Golden Gladiator Sports Club of Yogananda College of Engineering & Technology (YCET), Jammu successfully organized outdoor sports competitions in the college premises. The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from students of various departments who competed in Badminton (Men & Women) and Volleyball (Men ) categories. The event aimed to promote sportsmanship, teamwork, discipline, and a healthy competitive spirit among students. The Volleyball match turned out to be one of the most exciting events of the day. The match was played between the Civil Engineering Department and the Computer Science & Engineering (CSE) Department teams. The CSE team was led by Mohd Mehraj while the Civil Engineering team was captained by Muzafer Iqbal. Both teams displayed remarkable energy, coordination, and determination throughout the match. The spectators cheered enthusiastically as the teams exchanged powerful serves and impressive rallies. After a thrilling contest, the CSE Department team secured victory over the Civil Engineering team, showcasing excellent teamwork and strategic play.
The trophy of the Man of the Match goes to Veer Partap Singh of CSE Department.
In the Badminton Women's Final, a competitive match was played between Bhoomi Salaria and Bhoomika Bral, both representing the CSE Department. The match attracted a large audience and displayed a high level of skill and sportsmanship. Bhoomi Salaria dominated the game with consistent performance and powerful shots, ultimately winning the final match by 2-0 sets and securing the first position in the Women's Badminton category.

The competitions not only provided a platform for students to display their sporting talent but also encouraged them to maintain physical fitness and develop qualities such as teamwork, leadership, and discipline. On this occasion, Director Prof. (Dr.) Sanjeev Singh congratulated the winners and appreciated the enthusiastic participation of the students. He stated that sports play a crucial role in building confidence, improving mental strength, and fostering unity among students. He further encouraged students to actively participate in such co-curricular activities alongside academics. The event was successfully coordinated by Coordinator of the Golden Gladiator Sports Club, with the support of members Mr. Rohit Gupta, Er. Inderdeep Singh, and Er. Deepak Sharma, who ensured the smooth organization and fair conduct of all matches.
