Arvind Gupta visits Saini Mohalla in Ward 32, directs officials to prepare drainage plan

JAMMU, Mar 24: MLA Jammu West, Arvind Gupta today conducted an on-site visit to Ward No. 32, Saini Mohalla, to assess civic issues and interact with local residents.
The visit was carried out in the presence of the Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC) Health Officer, sanitation team, and engineering officials including the Assistant Executive Engineer (AEE) and Junior Engineer (JE).
During the inspection, residents raised concerns regarding poor drainage facilities, sanitation issues, and the need for proper maintenance of the existing infrastructure.
Taking serious note of the grievances, Gupta directed the concerned officials to prepare a detailed estimate for the construction and improvement of the drainage (Nallah) system in the area.
Addressing the residents, Arvind Gupta assured them of prompt action and said, "The issues faced by the people of Saini Mohalla are genuine and will be addressed on priority. Instructions have been given to the concerned department to prepare the drainage estimate at the earliest so that necessary work can be initiated without delay."
He further emphasized the importance of maintaining proper sanitation and infrastructure in residential areas, stating that coordinated efforts between departments are essential for effective service delivery.
The visit also witnessed the presence of several prominent local leaders, including former Deputy Mayor Dharam Veer Singh Jamwal, BJP Talab Tillo Mandal President Anil Angral, Mandal General Secretary Arun Dubey, Shakti Kendra Pramukh Rajesh Saini, Booth President Raj Kumar Saini, and Geeta Sodhi, along with a large number of local residents.
The accompanying officials assured that the directions issued by the MLA would be implemented promptly and necessary steps would be taken to improve the drainage system and sanitation facilities in the locality.
The visit reflects the MLA's continued efforts to address grassroots issues and ensure better civic amenities for the residents of Jammu West constituency.
