Two pony handlers arrested after their quarrel goes viral

REASI, Mar 27: District Police Reasi has once again demonstrated its firm commitment to maintaining law and order along the Mata Vaishno Devi pilgrimage route. A few days ago, a heated quarrel between two pony handlers erupted on the Banganga track, Katra, causing alarm among pilgrims. The incident, captured by bystanders, quickly went viral on social media.
Taking swift cognizance of the viral video, Police Station Katra immediately initiated action. During the inquiry, both individuals involved in the altercation were identified and arrested without delay.
The accused have been booked under Sections 126/170 BNSS and produced before the 1st Class Executive Magistrate, Katra for further necessary legal proceedings.

The entire operation was carried out by IC PP Banganga and SHO P/S Katra Insp. Ranjeet Singh Rao, under the close supervision of SDPO Katra Dr Bhishm Dubey, JKPS and SP Katra vipan Chandran, JKPS.
SSP Reasi Paramvir Singh-JKPS, said that any act jeopardizes the safety, dignity or convenience of pilgrims on the holy track will be dealt with sternly. District Police Reasi is fully committed to ensuring a peaceful and secure environment and no one involved in unlawful behaviour will be spared.
District Police Reasi reiterates its zero-tolerance policy toward any form of misconduct and assures continuous vigilant action to maintain order on the pilgrimage routes.
