BJP OBC Morcha Organises Cleanliness Drive at Kathua Under 'Gaon chalo , Basti chalo' Campaign on BJP Foundation Day

JAMMU, Apr 13: On the occasion of the foundation day of Bharatiya Janata Party, the BJP OBC Morcha carried out a cleanliness drive at Kathua as part of its ongoing ' Gaon chalo , Basti chalo ' campaign. The initiative aimed to promote hygiene, community participation, and awareness about cleanliness at the grassroots level.
The drive was organised under the guidance and direction of Braham Jyot Satti, President BJP OBC Morcha, Jammu & Kashmir. The programme was conducted at Radha Krishna Mandir, Dinga Amb Mandal, Kathua, where volunteers enthusiastically participated in cleaning activities.
A large number of party workers and local representatives were present during the drive, including Sunny Sangotra (State General Secretary, OBC Morcha BJP JKUT), Ravi Abrol (State Secretary, OBC Morcha), Parshotam Lal (Mandal President, Dinga Amb OBC Morcha), Kuldeep Gupta (Ex-Sarpanch, Dinga Amb), Krishan Abrol, Raghunandan Abrol, Manohar Lal, Sahil Singh, Harsh Abrol, Pankaj Jamwal, Dheeraj Abrol, Deep Acharya, and Raghav Sharma. During the cleanliness drive, volunteers thoroughly cleaned the temple premises using brooms and mops. Bushes and unwanted vegetation around the temple were also removed, ensuring a clean and hygienic environment for devotees.
In his message Braham Jyot Satti said Cleanliness is not just a responsibility but a collective duty of every citizen. Through the ' Gaon chalo , Basti chalo' campaign, we are striving to connect with people at the grassroots and spread awareness about maintaining hygiene in our surroundings. Such initiatives reflect the true spirit of service and commitment of BJP workers towards society.
In the foundation day of the Bharatiya Janata Party, we reaffirm our dedication to public welfare and community development.
He further added The OBC Morcha remains committed to working at the grassroots level and addressing the needs of every section of society. By organizing such drives, we not only contribute towards a cleaner environment but also strengthen the bond between the party and the people.
