119th Birth Anniversary of Shaivacharya Swami Lakshmanjoo celebrated

JAMMU, Apr 14: The 119th Birth Anniversary (Jayanti) of Shaivacharya Swami Lakshmanjoo Maharaj was celebrated with great devotion and spiritual enthusiasm at Ishwar Ashram Trust, 2-Mahinder Nagar, Canal Road, Jammu, on April 14, 2026. The sacred occasion witnessed a large gathering of devotees from across the country who assembled to seek the divine blessings of Swami Ji.
The celebrations commenced with the chanting of Gurustuti and soulful Guru Bhajans, creating an atmosphere filled with spiritual energy and reverence. Devotees actively participated in the prayers and rituals, expressing deep and devotion. After the conclusion of the Puja, Prashad was distributed among all devotees.
Shaivacharya Swami Lakshmanjoo Maharaj is revered as the last living master in the illustrious Guru-Shishya tradition of Kashmir Shaivism. He was a spiritual luminary with profound insight into the philosophy and practices of Kashmir Shaivism. Throughout his life, he dedicated himself to imparting the mystical teachings of Trika Philosophy to spiritual seekers across the globe. His unparalleled contribution has played a significant role in spreading Kashmir Shaiva philosophy worldwide, earning him the recognition of being the "Abhinavgupta of modern times."
Ishwar Ashram Trust (IAT), founded by Swami Lakshmanjoo Maharaj, continues to uphold and propagate his spiritual legacy. The Trust actively engages in establishing and maintaining centres for meditation, discourses, and satsang. It regularly organizes classes, lectures, seminars, workshops, and spiritual retreats across India to promote the teachings of Kashmir Shaivism. Additionally, the Trust is involved in publishing books and literature aimed at the spiritual upliftment of humanity.
On this auspicious occasion, two new publications by Ishwar Ashram Trust-"Talks With Shaivacharya Lakshmanjoo" and "Light On Tantra in Kashmir Shaivism - Volume 4"-were formally released, further enriching the repository of spiritual knowledge.
