EJM College Leh Cadets Excel at 10-Day ATC Camp at LARC Phyang

LEH, May 14: Around 89 cadets from the NCC Unit of Government Eliezer Joldan Memorial (EJM) College Leh participated in the 10-day Annual Training Camp (ATC) held at LARC Phyang from May 5 to May 14, 2026. The camp focused on discipline, leadership, physical fitness, teamwork, firing practice, drill, and adventure-based activities aimed at enhancing the overall personality and capabilities of the cadets.
The EJM College contingent, accompanied by Associate NCC Officer (ANO) Lt. Dr. Ujwala A. Koche, actively participated in various competitions and demonstrated outstanding performance throughout the camp. The cadets secured several winner and runner-up positions in different events, bringing laurels to the institution.
The achievements of the EJM College cadets included winning positions in Volleyball (Boys and Girls), Tug of War (Boys), Tent Pitching (Girls), and Guard of Honour (Boys). The Girls Tug of War and Girls Guard of Honour teams secured runner-up positions. In the firing competition, Cadet Kaniz Fatima was awarded the title of "Best Firer".
The cadets also performed commendably in drill, discipline, and other camp activities conducted during the training programme.
Principal of EJM College, Prof. Stanzin Yangdol, congratulated the cadets and NCC staff for their remarkable achievements and appreciated their dedication, discipline, and hard work.
ANO Lt. Dr. Ujwala A. Koche appreciated the enthusiasm and sincere efforts shown by the cadets during the camp and encouraged them to continue participating actively in NCC activities for leadership development, personality enhancement, and national service. The camp concluded with prize distribution and cultural programmes in the presence of NCC officers, instructors, and participating cadets from various institutions.
