NAGROTA, May 27: A comprehensive traffic awareness lecture was delivered today at NCC Academy, Nagrota, by Tilak Raj Bhardwaj, Deputy Superintendent of Police, Traffic, City Rural Jammu. The session was attended by over 300 NCC cadets, ranging from 9th grade to graduation level students.
The lecture emphasized crucial road safety measures, including seat belt and helmet usage, adherence to lane discipline, avoidance of mobile phone usage while driving, and observance of traffic signals. Given that many participants were minors, special attention was drawn to strict traffic regulations applicable to young drivers, with a reminder that parents will be held responsible for any violations.
Cadets were also briefed on modern traffic enforcement mechanisms such as e-challans and speed radar guns, and were assured of the traffic police's commitment to road safety and citizen support. The session concluded with a call for responsible driving and positive collaboration between road users and traffic authorities to ensure safer roads for all. |
