SKUAST-Jammu's Krishi Branding Centre concluded 3 days' training

JAMMU, June 19: Krishi Branding Centre (KBC), SKUAST-J ABI Foundation (Section 8 Company) successfully organized a three-days' training programme titled "Towards a Sustainable Tomorrow: RBSH/FPOs Enabled Agripreneurial Empowerment" from 17th to 19th June, 2026 under the Holistic Agriculture Development Programme (HADP), Project No. 04: "Strengthening Agricultural Marketing in the Union Territory of J&K". The programme was conducted under the leadership of Prof. B.N. Tripathi, Vice Chancellor, SKUAST-Jammu and able guidance of Prof. Jyoti Kachroo, Director, SKUAST-J ABI Foundation and Principal Investigator, Krishi Branding Centre.
The training programme witnessed active participation from agripreneurs, progressive farmers, members of Farmer Producer Organizations (FPOs), Rural Business Service Hubs (RBSHs), Self Help Groups (SHGs) and rural youth, with a focus on promoting entrepreneurship-led agricultural transformation and strengthening sustainable business ecosystems in the agriculture sector. The programme aimed at building entrepreneurial capacities, enhancing market access, strengthening institutional support systems and promoting innovation-driven rural economic development.
During the programme, Prof. Jyoti Kachroo delivered comprehensive sessions on developing sustainable RBSH/FPO frameworks for rural economic development, highlighting the role of the SKUAST-J ABI Foundation Krishi Branding Centre in strengthening farmer-led enterprises through institutional support, branding interventions, incubation services and market-oriented enterprise development. She further conducted an important session focusing on the role of PM-RKVY in fostering sustainable agri-entrepreneurship, emphasizing how government-backed innovation and incubation ecosystems can accelerate agribusiness development in Jammu & Kashmir.
The programme concluded with a valedictory session and certificate distribution to all participants.
The Krishi Branding Centre along with Agri Business Incubation Centre, SKUAST-J ABI Foundation, continues to serve as a catalyst for innovation, entrepreneurship development, and agribusiness excellence by building strong linkages between research, enterprise development, and grassroot rural transformation.
