| Police rescues 20 bovine animals, three vehicles seized in Rajouri | | |

RAJOURI, June 24: In a sustained drive against the illegal bovine smuggling Police Station Rajouri intercepted Three vehicles carrying bovine animals without obtaining the requisite permission during naka checking at Rajouri. The following vehicles were intercepted:
* JK11J-9181 carrying 08 bovine animals.
* JK11G-2842 carrying 06 bovine animals.
* JK02AW-0489 carrying 06 bovine animals.
* A total of 20 bovine animals were found being transported without the mandatory permission from the competent authority. In this regard a legal action was initiated and the following cases were registered at Police Station Rajouri: FIR No 327/2026, FIR No 328/2026, and FIR No 329/2026 under relevant Sections of the Law.
All the bovine animals have been rescued and the vehicles seized. Investigation in the cases is underway to ascertain the source and destination of the animals and to identify other persons involved in the illegal transportation. |
