JKTF Zone Miran Sahib bids emotional farewell to veteran Teacher Bachan Lal

JAMMU, July 4: The Jammu Kashmir Teachers Forum (JKTF), Zone Miran Sahib, organised a grand and emotional farewell function to honour Bachan Lal, Teacher, Government Primary School Chak Talab, on his superannuation from government service. A senior member of JKTF Zone Miran Sahib, Bachan Lal was felicitated for his unwavering commitment to the teaching profession, his exemplary service to society, and his active role in strengthening the teachers' fraternity over the years.The function was attended by a large gathering of teachers and office bearers of the Forum. JKTF Chief Patron Ganesh Khajuria graced the occasion as the Guest of Honour.
Addressing the gathering, Khajuria described Bachan Lal as a sincere, dedicated, and disciplined teacher who always upheld the dignity of the teaching profession. He said that throughout his career, Bachan Lal remained committed to quality education, student welfare, and the collective interests of teachers. His active participation in organisational activities and his willingness to guide younger colleagues earned him immense respect within the teaching community.
"Retirement is not the end of one's journey but the beginning of a new chapter of life. The knowledge, experience, and wisdom accumulated over decades remain invaluable assets for society. We wish Bachan Lal a healthy, peaceful, and fulfilling post-retirement life," Khajuria said.On the occasion, the Chief Patron also announced the nomination of Rashpal Dass, Teacher, Government Primary School Mehlowal, as the new Zonal President of JKTF, Zone Miran Sahib.
Congratulating Rashpal Dass on his new responsibility, Khajuria expressed confidence that his commitment, organisational skills, and dedication would further strengthen the Forum at the grassroots level. He urged the new Zonal President to work with sincerity and transparency while maintaining close coordination with teachers to address their genuine concerns.
He emphasised that the Teachers Forum has always worked for safeguarding the rights and welfare of teachers while contributing positively towards improving the standard of education in Jammu and Kashmir. He called upon the newly constituted leadership to strengthen unity among teachers, promote professional excellence, encourage regular interaction with educational authorities, and ensure that issues concerning educators are resolved in a constructive and timely manner.
