7/4/2026 10:39:22 PM
Early Times Report
SUNDERBANI, July 4: Congress workers held a meeting at the Block Congress Office, Sunderbani, under the leadership of former MLC and Congress spokesperson Ravinder Sharma. The meeting was followed by a strong protest against the Central Government, during which party workers raised slogans over the alleged irregularities in the Ram Mandir donation fund and several public issues.Addressing the gathering, Ravinder Sharma alleged that the Central Government has failed to address the concerns of the common people. He questioned the alleged irregularities in the Ram Mandir donation fund and demanded complete transparency and accountability. Referring to the alleged NEET paper leak, Sharma said the incident had shaken the confidence of lakhs of students and their families and demanded strict action against those responsible. He further said that unemployment, rising prices, and the deteriorating condition of basic public services have made life difficult for ordinary citizens. Criticising the functioning of the PHE Department, Sharma alleged that many villages continue to face an acute shortage of drinking water despite repeated public complaints. He also highlighted the poor condition of roads in Sunderbani and adjoining areas and demanded immediate repairs. Sharma asserted that Congress would continue to raise people's issues both inside and outside the legislature and would not remain silent on matters affecting the public. He appealed to the government to focus on development, employment generation and strengthening essential public services instead of ignoring people's grievances. Several Congress leaders and office-bearers also expressed their views during the meeting and highlighted the problems being faced by the people of Sunderbani, including poor roads, drinking water shortage, unemployment and inadequate civic amenities. After the meeting, Congress workers staged a protest under the leadership of Ravinder Sharma and raised slogans demanding an impartial probe into the Ram Mandir donation fund and immediate action on issues affecting the common people.
Among those present were Block Congress President Nain Chand, retired Inspector Harjeet Singh, retired Rajeev Chadha, Naubat Ram, Nishikant Sharma, Yog Raj Sharma, Pankaj Raina, youth leader Dheeraj, youth leader Bunty Singh, Dr. Ved Prakash, Ashok Kumar, Thodu Ram, youth leader Govind Sharma and several senior Congress workers.
