UDHAMPUR, July 15: Shiv Kumar Sharma, IPS, DIG Udhampur-Reasi Range, today chaired a comprehensive review meeting regarding the investigation and progress of cases registered under UAPA.
The meeting was attended by SSP Reasi, Addl.SP Udhampur, DySP Basantgarh, DySP Latti, DySP DAR Udhampur, DySP Police Component Udhampur, SDPO Mahore and SDPO Ramnagar. The concerned Investigating Officers also participated in the meeting and briefed the DIG on the status of various UAPA cases under investigation.
During the review, the DIG emphasized the need for speedy, professional and evidence-based investigation of all UAPA cases. He directed the Investigating Officers to expedite the investigation process, ensure timely collection and analysis of evidence, strengthen coordination with intelligence and other relevant agencies, and take all necessary legal measures to bring the cases to their logical conclusion at the earliest.
The DIG further stressed the importance of maintaining strict adherence to legal procedures and ensuring that investigations are conducted in a thorough and transparent manner so that effective prosecution can be achieved.
He reiterated that the Police Department remains committed to combating unlawful and anti-national activities and will continue to take firm action against individuals involved in such offences in accordance with the law. |
