| 13 kg ganja seized from railway station | | | JAMMU: Thirteen kilograms of contraband 'ganja' was seized by a patrol of government railway police (GRP) from near a platform at the railway station here late Friday night.
Two unknown drug traffickers were approaching the railway platform late Friday night to board a train when they got panicky on seeing a GRP patrol.
Police sources said leaving the bag behind, the duo fled. Though the cops chased them, they could not find any clue to the whereabouts of the escaped men, the sources added. Cops took the bag in their custody. Its search later led them to the recovery of two packets of ganja, weighing 13 kilograms.
Sources said the contraband was to be smuggled outside the state. Police had registered a case in this connection and launched a manhunt to apprehend the accused, the sources added.
