Rajesh Pilot remembered on his 10th death anniversary

JAMMU, June 11: National Student Union of India (NSUI) today organised a function to pay tributes to Rajesh Pilot on his and distributed eatables among the children of SOS home.
The NSUI activists under leadership of Varun Magotra, state general secretary Varun Magotra organized the function and distributed eatables among the children.
DIG Farooq Khan was chief guest while Vinay Anand, prominent social worker and additional DC Jammu were guest of honour.
The Programme started with floral tributes to late Rajesh Pilot followed by a welcome note was read by Malik Behzad Ali, state general secretary NSUI.
DIG Farooq Khan while addressing children of SOS home appreciates the effort of NSUI to organize such interactions with children of SOS home. He threw light on the life history of late Rajesh Pilot and said, "It is unfortunate for people of India that he is not with us."
He also interacted with children and assured them all help on behalf of Police Department. He also appealed to all the organization to come forward to help these poor children.
Vinay Anand, in his address, said that Rajesh Pilot was an inspiration for the people to come forward in support of needy and have-nots. He said that he had been very close associate of Pilot and his approach was very down to earth.
Varun Magotra while addressing children said that Pilot was great visionary leader of his times. He was a role model for all the youth community. He was the only man who regularly visited J&K and took special concern over people of J&K. He also took the pledge to work for the cause of poor, needy and down trodden.
State General Secretary Arjun Singh Pathania also addressed the gathering and said that the best way to remember Pilot is to take inspiration from him and to dedicate our life in service of mankind.
A function was also organized at PCC headquarter where the NSUI activists under the leadership of state general secretary, Fairoz Khan paid floral tributes to Rajesh Pilot.
Addressing the gathering, Fairoz Khan said that Rajesh Pilot was a leader of international repute.
Fairoz Khan further added that with the efforts of Rajesh Pilot that every village had now STD/PCO telephones, free telephones at Airports and in the emergency rooms of hospitals.
He demanded the installation of statue of Rajesh Pilot Jammu and said that the need of hour is to educate people about the great national leaders and the installation of statue would be a gift for youth of Jammu.
