GCW Parade organizes Kavi Goshthi | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT Jammu, June 12: Govt. College for women, Parade today organized a Multilingual Kavi Goshti Programme in Collaboration with J&K Rashtra Bhasha Prachar Samiti Jammu in which minister for Higher Education, Labour and Employment, Abdul Gani Malik was the Chief Guest on the Occasion. Dr. Kiran Bakshi, Principal of the College formally welcomed the Chief Guest and the august gathering which comprised of eminent poets of Jammu and other dignitaries on this occasion. Malik on the occasion also released the Academic calendar cum Action plan of the College for the session 2010-11. The Chief Guest in his address appreciated the efforts of the College and the Samiti for providing a platform for the young creative minds and he exhorted the poets to continue their efforts to crack the cognitive conundrum of the young enthuash. The minister lauded the efforts of the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) of GCW Parade for preparing the academic calendar cum action plan for the current session. The Prominent poets present on the occasion included Daya Ram, Randhir Singh Rai Puria, P.L Parihar, Rakesh Sharma Tript, Rajeshwar Bharti, Shakuntdeep Mala, Virender Kesar, Rahat Hussain, M.A Wani, Tanvir Ahmed Malik, Sanjay Singh, S.S Lehar, Raj Kumari, Aruna Sharma, Nirmal Vinod, Sham Talib and Sanjeev Bhasin. Prof. Baidhya Nath Labh, president of the Samiti, threw light on the relevance and importance of Hindi in the present scenario and congratulated the students who got selected in IIT-2010 through Hindi medium. Padam Shri Dr. Jitender udhampuria also recited his Dogri poem. Prof S.P Sri vastas presented the vote of thanks and Prof. BB Sharma, secretary of the samiti conducted the proceedings of the function.
