| Poverty forces youth to commit suicide | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU,Aug 29: Faced with acute poverty, a youth allegedly committed suicide by hanging himself from a tree at the dargah of a Peer Baba at RS Pura today.
He was identified as Sushil Kumar (22), son of Bachan Lal of Kotli Galabana, RS Pura.
Police sources said since he was very poor, he had been selling tea outside RS Pura police station for the past sometime.
His body was found hanging from a tree at the dargah of a Peer Baba at RS Pura at about 2 pm, the sources added.
The body had been kept in the mortuary of RS Pura sub-district hospital where post-mortem would be conducted on it tomorrow. Later, it would be handed over to his family members for last rites.
Police had registered a case in this connection. |
