Symposium on ‘Student teacher relationship’ hold at Womens college, parade | | | Early Times Report Jammu, Sept 4: Govt. College for Women, Parade, in collaboration with Rotary Club, organized a symposium on the topic “Student Teacher relationship in the 21st Century” in connection with Teacher’s Day Celebration in the college premises here today. Minister for Higher Education, Labour and Employment Abdul Gani Malik was the chief guest whereas Director Colleges, Prof. Sham Lal Gupta presided over the function. President Rotary Club, Dr. Dushant, Secretary, Pardeep Jain, Aseem Tandon other members of the club, teachers and students were also present to grace the function. Former president of Rotar Club R.S.Goel, Dr. Rita Bhagat and Dr. Sushma Mahajan, were the judges for the symposium. Principal of the college Dr. Kiran Bakshi, welcomed the Chief Guest and addressed the gathering and highlighted the importance and sancitity of the teachers day and also paid tributes to late Dr. S.Radha Krishanan the great pioneer of education. A skit “Roshini” on the theme changing perspective of the student teacher relationship was also presented by the students. Addressing the students and teachers Chief guest spoke on the student teacher relationship in the present context and measures to be adopted for better usderstanding, achieving excellence in study environment and upliftment of the society in general. A draft of Rs. 39000.00 Relief was also presented to the chief guest by the Principal of College for the Ladkah flood victims. The function ended with vote of thanks by Prof. Pragya Khanna.
