Caste inclusion 2010-11 census satisfies Vishwakarma sabha | | | Early Times Report Jammu, Sep 10: Pradesh Vishwakarma Sabha has expressed its satisfaction over the Centre government decision of inclusion of caste in 2010-11 census. Sabha felt that their genuine share of reservation for OBCs instead of 2 per cent in J&K where mandal report has not been implemented shall be solved by such inclusion and many problems of the OBCs through out the nation and particularly in J&K state whose suffering have never been addressed by the state government over the wrong concept of small population of the state OBCs would be solved to greater extents.
Sabha also appealed to the State government for granting the due share which also become due in view of 1931 census which speaks of 32 per cent state population as OBCs. The meeting was convened under the chairmanship of Puran Chalotra president of Sabha. Others who participated in the meeting were Kali Dass, Sain Dass, Karan Targotra, Lal Chand, Sham Lal Verma, Joginder Angotra, and Puran Verma. |
