Revenue Minister promise all help for establishing defence colony | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, Sept 11: Management of Sainik Co-operative House Building Society Ltd Jammu, lead by its Chairman, Col (Retd) KS Padwal met minister, relief, revenue and rehabilitation Raman Bhalla and briefed him about the establishment of Defence Colony Jammu for serving ex-servicemen and Women of Defence Services. It was brought to the notice minister that these persons cab not afford to buy plots for their housing, since the price in the market is out of their reach. Col said and added it was explained that the site for the colony has been selected near Mile Stone 16-17 on National Highway form Jammu which is a non agriculture and non productive land, under the ownership of villagers. He said establishing a colony these villages will be economically up lifted and their waste land will turn as a modern colony. As per press release minister promised all help for the establishment of purposed Defence Colony from his Ministry. He marked the application of the Sainik Co-Operative House Building Society Ltd to the Deputy Commissioner Samba for the needful in the matter. He assu4reed all the help for the project of Defence Colony. Col Inder Raj, Lt Col CD manotra, Lt Col IS Jamwal, Major Harnam Singh, Hony Capt Gandharb Singh, Hony Capt Suraj Bhan Coundhary, NB Sub Daulat Ram, Hav Guldeep Singh and Sep Narinder singh all Director of Board were part of management of deletgation. |
