| YMP organises Fancy Dress competition | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
Jammu, Sept 13: Peace (YMP) organized a Fancy Dress Competition at DRS Kids, Talab Tillo, Jammu. The aim of this Fancy Dress Competition was to develop interest in different co-curricular activities apart from education.
Speaking on the occasion, Vikas Sharma said, "Little children do not have much words to express their feelings and Fancy dress Program is a medium by which one can know about the feelings and inner personality of a child as children portray themselves in that particular way which they likes the best."
Sharma further said, "Fancy Dress Competition is not mere a competition but it is a way of determining the hidden talent of a child."
MLA R.S.Pura, Prof. Garu Ram Bhagat was the Chief Guest on this event.
He said, "Every child has different interest and by means of these types of competitions, parents as well as teachers come to know about the interest of a child. And accordingly channelize the energy of a child in the right direction so as to help in the progress and development of our Nation as child is the future of any nation. Moreover such programs give children an encouragement to participate in other social activities also in their future. So we should make the children aware of all the aspects of education and other co-curricular activities since from childhood."
Vikas Sharma said, "YMP's Children Home- Sunehra Kal is such a medium which determine the hidden talent and interest of the children to give them a perfect shape."
Samarth and Bhumika shared 1st prize, Ramayani and Mannan both got 2nd prize. 3rd prize was shared by 2 students i.e. Krishiv and Prateek.
Aaryav, Manaswar, Aditya, Kamakshi and Ritu got Consolation Prizes in this program. About 86 students participated in this competition and all were awarded with Participation Certificates.
On this occasion, Vikas Sharma (Chairman, YMP), Ranjana Sharma (Vice-Chairman, YMP), Rekha Sharma (General Secretary, YMP), Harmeet Kour (Chairperson, DRS Kids), Ekta Syal (Principal, DRS Kids), Gagandeep Singh (Secretary), Sangeeta (Off. Adm.) and Meenakshi Kour (Manager) were also present on the occasion. |
