Surya launches energy efficient tube lights

JAMMU, Sept 22: Surya Roshni Limited, India's leading lights to steel solution provider, is the first company in India to launch most Energy Efficient T8/T5 lamps which save 85% of energy. It will save more than Rs. 600 in a year in terms of amount saved against power bills. The life of a T8/T5 Surya Tube light is 15 years (15000 hours, based on 3.3 hours usage per day with an electronic ballast). Surya uses the world's best Triband Phosphor Fluorescent powder, from Japan which gives highest lumen (light) output. It works at a voltage as low as 140 V & can withstand upto 280 V.
Surya is the first company to receive the Energy efficient Star rating for T8 & T12 tube lights from the Bureau of Energy Efficiency (BEE) in India. These are produced in the world's best machines from Europe.
Concerned about energy efficiency and the environment safety, Surya has come out with production of energy saving T8 (36W) fluorescent tube lights that are slim in nature. These lamps would displace the conventional bulbs which have low life & consume 5 times more energy.
Speaking about the special feature, Mr. Chandan Mehra, Dy. National Sales Manager, Surya Roshni Limited said, "Surya T8 tubelights have been awarded 5 star rating by Govt. of India through its Bureau of Energy Efficiency (BEE). It saves 85% against a normal bulb. It saves more power than a CFL lamp. Some of its special features are low power bills (It saves Rs. 600 against an ordinary GLS bulb), better light quality, better comfort. It reduces glare & is very soothing to the eyes".
