MES Builders body put forth demands to Guv | | | early times report SRINAGAR, Sept 23: A delegation of the MES Builders Association of India, Srinagar Branch, called on the Governor N. N. Vohra, at Raj Bhavan here today and submitted a memorandum of their demands. The major demand of the Association relates to eligibility criteria being relaxed in favour of the builders from J&K, particularly the condition relating to the value of the contracts earlier executed by them. The Governor gave a patient hearing to the deputationists and assured that the Raj Bhavan would facilitate their meeting with the Engineer-in-Chief, Army Hqs, New Delhi for considering their demands. The delegation led by the Chairman of the Association, Mohammad Afzal Wani, comprised Senior Vice Chairman of the Srinagar Branch of the Association, Taj Mohammad Beigh and Council Members, Mohammad Yousuf Mir and Showkat Ahmad Dar. The Principal Secretary to the Governor R. K. Goyal was present on the occasion. |
