At least 10 leaders of Bathuni area today joined BJP in which two Muslims also expressed their faith on the party leadership by joining it in front of state secretary Advocate Vibodh Gupta.
Few years ago, Muslims were distancing from BJP and now the situation seemed different. Many Muslim leaders of Rajouri are active in BJP and they are having their portfolios in the state unit of the party.
Party sources said that they are having Farooq Khan as State general secretary of Muslim Cell from Rajouri whereas Manzoor Manhas is the chief spokesman of State Unit of BJP Muslim Cell, David Farooq, District President, Rajouri, Talib Hussain, Vice president, Nayeem Ganie Thanamandi Mandal President, Zahid Khan Thanamandi, General Secretary and Azeem Khan of Manjakote are other leaders who are active in the party in the district.
All these Muslim leaders were brought under the BJP umbrella by State Secretary Vibodh Gupta who has presently launched a campaign in the district to involve more Muslims in the party. The party was joined by atleast 10 leaders of Bathuni area among which two belongs to Muslim community. Party District President Yogesh Sharma was also accompying State Secretary to various areas in the campaign.
Talking here, Vibodh Gupta said that he has received outstanding response from the Muslim community of Rajouri and more Muslims are being joined the party. "We have cleared the image of the party in our area and we feel that this is the only place from where BJP has tremendous response of the community", Gupta said.

BJP leaders in the area are also coming forward to shun hardliner face and make an image of secular party and is why leaders of the party seemed busy in their campaign of appealing public to respect Allahabad court decision so ever it will be. State Secretary of the Party in this regard had launched three days awareness campaign in the area which ended today in Bathuni where he appealed the public not to react the court verdict.
