Army provides free SSB coaching | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT UDHAMPUR, Oct 4: The free coaching classes conducted by Army at Udhampur to prepare prospective candidates for the Services Selection Board (SSB) have started to bear fruit. Two capsules of four weeks duration each were conducted in February and May this year. A total of 13 candidates who had undergone training have been successful in clearing the SSB. The success role of candidates in cracking the SSB is encouraging. One candidate Ankush Singh, resident of Village Dathi, near Asta Doda who under-went coaching at Udhampur has topped the list of those selected under the NCC (special) Entry Scheme for Officers Training Academy, Chennai. The coaching classes have been started under the visionary guidance of Lt Gen BS Jaswal, GOC-in-C Northern Command who desired to give a high class coaching facility for the youth of J&K state. This facility has been made available to all youth of the state. Candidates are provided boarding, lodging and food by the Army for the entire duration of coaching. It is hoped that with this training the youth of J&K and Army will both benefit. The next batch of coaching is going to commence shortly. All interested may contact Headquarters Northern Command Human Resource Development Centre for further information on telephone number 01992-242486.
