EARLY TIMES REPORT
Jammu, Oct 23: Dogri Sanstha, Jammu organized a literary interaction with prominent litterateurs of North Indian languages, who are on a visit to the city of temples. Many relevant and crucial issues concerning the languages of Northern India were discussed in this interactive session. Those representing various languages include Chandra Prakash Deval for Rajsthani, Aziz Hajni for Kashmiri and Alok Bhalla of English.
The discussion was mainly held on the problems of intra language translations, the need to hold joint programmes of various languages and the present literary scenario concerning languages of northern India. It was emphasized in the discussion that there is an urgent need to establish better contacts and communications between the languages and more stress should be laid on the translation of literature from one to another language to reach the wider spectrum of readership.
