Anganwadi workers demand hike in salary | | | Early Times Report JAMMU, Oct 24: Anganwadi Workers' Wel-fare Association (AWWA) today demanded hike in the salaries of Anganwadi workers. Affiliated with Akhil Bhartiya Anganwadi Karamchari Maha Sangh, AWWA said this in a conference held at Geeta Bhawa in Parade. Association Presi-dent Swarna Choudhary chaired the meeting. Prom-inent labour leader Lakseman Ravinder Singh, Vijay Chandel, Harbans Choudhary, Ashok Chou-dhary, Neelam Sharma, Koushally Devi, Kumari Parsino, Kamlesh Kumari, Chint Poorni, Naresh Bala, Chanchal Kumari,' Swaran Kanta and Neelam Sharma addressed the workers. Inaugurating the conference, Swarana Choudhary implored upon the state government to heed to the demands of employees. Senior leader of Bhartiya Mazdoor Sangh (BMS) Lakseman Ravinder Singh blamed the government for not implementing ICDS scheme in letter and spirit for the last more than 32 years. He further declared that integration of Jammu and Kashmir with India is complete.
