| NSUI holds convention, urges youth to join | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, Oct 28: National Students Union of India (NSUI) held a convention of delegates and unit presidents in its state office here today.
A large number of NSUI delegates, district, blocks, college unit presidents and state NSUI executive committee participated in the convention. A large number of NSUI activists led by city president Abyminu Jamwal received NSUI president Rashid Choudhary at Shahidi Cowk by garlanding him profusely.
Programme was coordinated by Arjun Singh Pathania, Charanjeet Singh Chiku, Feroz Khan, Udhey Chib, Bageshwar Sharma, Navneet Singh, Kajal Ayoub, Pryia Verma, Aijaz Choudhary, Rahul Sharma, Jatinder Chib, Abyminu Jamwal, Sajad Ahmed, Summit Kotwal and others. Later, an impressive function was organised to felicitate Rashid Choudhary at PCC office Congress Bahavan Jammu.
Senior Vice-President PCC Mangat Ram Sharma presided over the function. Thakur Hari Singh, Sardar Gurmukh Singh, Amolk Singh, Shiv Sharma, Shoaib Lone and R.S.Pathania were special guests on the occasion. Ashwani Puri and Manmohan Singh were other prominent leaders present on the occasion. All the leaders addressed the gathering congratulated Dr. Rashid Choudhary on the completion of two years.
Addressing the gathering, veteran Congress leader Mangat Ram Sharma described NSUI as the base of Congress party. Vice-President of JKPCC Thakur Hari Singh exhorted NSUI activists to work for propagation of congress party. He appealed activists to work for the downtrodden and poor section of the society. He said that NSUI is the nursery of congress party and its very important get good stuff in the NSUI.
Addressing the gathering, Rashid Choudhary appealed students to join NSUI to make country a superpower and to free society from evils like corruption and communalism. He urged activists to work with discipline and dedication to get success and promotion in NSUI. He expressed his gratitude to PCC leadership and to NSUI activists for organizing this memorable function.
