Agri Technocrats threaten to resume suspended agitation | | | Early Times Report Jammu, Nov 1: The Doda unit of Jammu and Kashmir Agriculture Technocrats Association on Monday threatened to resume its suspended agitation if the demands of technocrats are not fulfilled soon. In a meeting of the Agriculture Technocrats of erstwhile district Dcda under the chairmanship of districtg President Yasir Hassan Tak, the speakers criticized the state government for making "false" promises with them. Tak said the technocrats had been working in the department since April 2007 but "step motherly" treatment has been done with them as they are being ignored by the government. He said that the poor response of the state government had forced the association to go on agitation in Srinagar last year which was later suspended on the assurance of Chief Minister who had assured that their demands would be addressed within a couple of months. "Despite several assurances from the Chief Minister, their demands have not been conceded which have caused great unrest among the technocrats," he maintained. Those who attended the meetng were Tanvir, Masood, Aftab, Ajay, Irshad, Rasil, Waseem, Sanjeet, Ilyas, Rashid, Irshad, Majid, Ashraf, Sanjay and Nadeem. |
