Various educational institutions celebrate Chacha Nehru’s Birthday

Jammu, Nov 12: Various schools and educational institutions throughout Jammu province today celebrated Jawahar Lal Nehru’s birthday as Children Day with great zeal and fervour. Many colourful programmes were organised in different schools while skits and presentations too were eld on te occasion
The Playway School, organised a programme at school premises, Lakhdatta Bazaar, here today.
On the occasion, the children of the school wearing colourful dresses including some of them dressed as ‘Chacha’ Nehru presented variety of dance items and song performances.
Speaking on the occasion, chairperson of the school, Anu Bala Gupta asked the kids to follow the footprints of the first Prime Minister of the nation – Pandit Jawahar Lal Nehru. She also said that with opening of the school in the heart of the city, the dream of her late father in law, an eminent educationist and academician of his time Chander Prakash Gupta has been fulfilled.
Patron of the school Krishna Gupta was also present on the occasion while principal of the school Bindu Gupta, and faculty members including Pawandeep Kauri and Nazuk Goel also addressed the students.
Faces brimming with enthusiasm, students dressed as Jawahar Lal Nehru , eagerness to participate in fun and frolic, strong urge to make the occasion impressive were all pervasive among the students and the staff of MV International school that celebrated Children’s Day today..The programme started with special morning assembly in which the teachers presented a spellbinding colorful cultural programme.
The chairman of the school H.L Abrol extended his heartfelt greetings to all the students on the day. He appreciated the efforts of the children and motivated them to develop leadership qualities in them.Rama Jamwal , vice principal of the school highlighted the contribution of Jawaharlal Nehru in laying a strong secular foundation of Independent India.
She exhorted all to strengthen secularism for the unity and integrity of the country. Guru Harkrishan Public School, Guru Nanak Nagar, Jammu organised an inter-school painting competition as a mark of respect to the first Prime Minister Jawahar Lal Nehru In this competition 25 schools participated in three different categories.The overall trophy was bagged by T.S Public School in sub junior, junior, and senior categories.
The competition was presided over by chief guests Joginder Singh Sambyal SSP C.I.D.(Counter Intelligence), guests of honour Ranjit Singh Khalsa chairman GHPS, special guests Janak Singh general secretary GHPS.
Sanjeev Pradhan principal of the school welcomed the guests , invitees and students as vote of thanks was presented by Avtar Singh vice principal .
Kids Campus, an international pre school, Channi Himmat, Jammu organized a Fun Fest on the occasion of Children’s Day in its campus at Channi Himmat, Jammu.
Kids in colourful dresses enjoyed the magic show, fun party and the various food stalls arranged in the school campus.
Ghanshyam Gupta and Kailash Gupta were the chief guest on the occasion.
Speaking on the occasion, Aditi Gupta, centre head wished for all the children in the world to have a good childhood. As Children they shouldn’t have to face the evils of the world. They should be able to enjoy their life with other children because it’s the only time they can be completely happy”.
Children’s Day was celebrated with great zeal and fervour in SOS HGS Jammu.
The program started with traditional lighting ceremony. On this occasion different colourful cultural items like group dance, group songs, solo songs etc were displayed by the students.
Skits performed by students of Jhelum and Ravi house highlighted Jawahar Lal Nehru’s love for children.
Speaking on the occasion principal R.K. Dhar described Nehru a great visionary leader and urged the students to inculcate in them the qualities of love and politeness.
The students were awarded certificates for their excellent performance in different fields.
Vishaka Bagotra presented vote of thanks.
KidZee campus Kathua too celebrated birth anniversary of first prime Minister of India Pt. Jawahar Lal Nehru the function commenced with the speech by Romy and Vidhushi regarding the importance of children’s Day and why we celebrate it every year.
Little kids on the occasion participated in events like Fashion Show, Ramp Walk, Fancy dress competition and Hindi and English songs. The principal of the Kidzee Suman Tiwari appreciated the performance shown by the children and also distributed the awards amongst the best performer in the programme.
