DPS organized 'Samanvav 2010' | | | Early Times Report Jammu Nov 20 , Delhi Public School Jammu , today held "Samanvay 2010' - an Inter DPS Creative/Fusion Dance Competition at Zorawar Singh Auditorium in the premises of Jammu University The competition aimed to ignite creative and aesthetic sense among students participating from various states. Revenue Minster Raman Bhalla was the Chief Guest on the occasion and Dilbagh Singh, Inspector General Police, Sanjeev Verma, Deputy Commissioner Jammu, Vinod Sharma, Vice -Chairman Jammu Development Authority was the Guests of Honour. Principal DPS Jammu Sudarshan Sonar welcomed the Chief Guest, Guests of Honour, dignitaries, many prominent citizens including Sidharth Sharma &. V K Bakshi and worthy parents on behalf of The Delhi Public School Society New Delhi and Management of Delhi Public School Jammu. The Delhi Public School Society envisaged Delhi Public School Jammu for organizing this competition where various DPS schools from North - Zone -I Participated. The various Themes presented by the teams included Continuous - Creativity, Old compliments New, Girl child -a gift, Peace-Harmony. The competition was judged by Padam Nath Kotwal, Gold Medalist from Jammu University and Ms. Priya Dutta, renowned Kathak and Folk Dancer. The students performed with a great enthusiasm and jubilance. Earlier, the Competition started with welcome song by the Delhi Public School Jammu Students. Whil speaking on the occasion Bhalla appreciated Delhi Public School Jammu for organizing such competitions based on cultural themes. He congratulated the Management and teachers on successful completion of the motive of this competition i.e embossing the innate talent of students. Chief Guest announced the result where DPS Chandigarh stood first while DPS Jammu bagged second position. The Programme concluded with Dogri Dance JAGRANA performed by the students of Delhi Public School Jammu.
