4 RR Bihar to conduct youth fest from Dec 3

BHADERWAH ,NOV 30- Continuing with its ardous task of containing militancy and wining the hearts and minds of local populace, 4 Rashtriya Rifles Bihar will conduct a youth festival under the aegies of Headquarters 4 sector RR from December 3 to December 5 at Bhaderwah campus of Jammu University . The mega event will witness participation of 525 students and teachers from 10 colleges of erstwhile Doda district of Jammu University .
According to sources, the youth festival is a major event as part of the ongoing campaign ‘we stand for peace’, kick started by 4RR BIHAR in October, which also incorporated interaction of the corps commander lieutenant General Rameshwar Roy showcasing their skills in dancing , singing , debating and elocution , painting , photography , acting and such like activities .
The opening ceremony of the Youth festival will be held in December 3 and the mega event will witness attendance of dignitaries from Army JOC Maj General Gurmeet Singh, VC of Jammu University and Union Health Minister Gulam Nabi Azad .
The main motive of youth festival is to exchange of culture and to build inter-community bonds among the youth of erstwhile Doda district, army official said, adding this festival will give the message of normalcy as we have already flush out all terrorist from this area of responsibility .
Army officials’ informed that total expenditure on this festival is 17 lakh and 1.50 lakhs gifts and prizes will be distributed among the participants and venue of the festival is Bhaderwah campus. The Jammu university authorities will also launch official website of the Bhaderwah campus of Jammu University and pigeons and balloons will be released on the inaugural function, army added .
It is pertinent to mention here that for the first time after the insurgency the Army is organizing youth festival under O P Sadbhawana in the state and whole Bhaderwah is decorated by the 4RR and in the festival there will be free entry and exit ,army official said .
