Interlocutors encourage divisive forces at NDA behest: BJP
12/21/2010 10:29:18 PM
EARLY TIMES REPORT
Jammu, Dec 21: The Interlocutors have been tasked by the NDA government to encourage ant-national and divisive forces. This was stated by BJP state president, Shamsher Singh Manhas while addressing media persons here today. Party MLA Jugal Kishore was also present at the briefing.
Manhas said the NDA government has taken for granted the nationalists of the state and is bent upon to sacrifice them for appeasement and to humour the anti-national forces and other divisive forces who peddle the concept of autonomy, self-rule etc.
He said that interlocutors ought to give equal attention and weightage to nationalist forces so that they could correctly judge the jingoism and sectarianism in built in the concepts of autonomy, self-rule etc masquerading under the clock of so called secularism etc.
He said it was a matter of grave concern that the interlocutors resorted to a very lowly stratagem of sending a letter on 12 noon of Monday intimating BJP to meet them at 11:30 a.m. of the same day and on the contrary deferentially call on the president of PDP at her residence. “Nothing more is needed to discern the agenda of interlocutors set by Congress-led NDA”, he said. .
“The interlocutors approach is fundamentally flawed in as much as they on their first visit to state, met those elements in jail and who do not accept the J&K state being part of India and BJP was taken for a ride under the guise of seeking its view on the matter
Manhas declared that no body will be allowed to unsettle the accession which stood settled in 1947 when Maharaja signed accession with India. Unemployment, lack of infrastructure, denial of citizenship rights of refugees of 1947, no compensation for loss of about Rs. 25000 crores suffered by business community and transporters during 2008 Amarnath land row agitation, rehabilitation of Kashmir displaced people, border refugees, discrimination, postponement in holding delimitation, anti-national utterances by those sitting on constitutional posts etc. are issues which should form the focus of all right thinking people. The interlocutors ought to reach people, compile their views and submit them to centre and not express them publicly.
Manhas asserted that BJP is holding its national office bearers meet and Ekta Sankalp Rally at Jammu on December 23-24 to highlight and press these issues as it is committed to national cause and national interest. He appealed to all the people to participate in the rally of Dec. 24 wholeheartedly make its voice loud and clear.
