| Commerce College enters semis of handball | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, Dec 21: Government SPMR College of Commerce today sailed into the semi-finals of the ongoing inter-college men’s handball tournament, organised by Department of Sports and Physical Education, University of Jammu on the campus, here.
Now, Commerce College shall take on last year’s runners-up, Post Graduate (PG) Departments for the final berth.
Earlier, in the quarterfinal, Commerce College defeated Trikuta Degree College 35-26. Anuj Langer was top scorer from winners with 19 goals while Bharat Malhotra defended well from Trikuta College contributing most of the 16 goals to the team’s total.
In another scheduled match, GGM Science College got walkover Government Degree College Doda.
LAWN TENNIS: Meanwhile, in lawn tennis competitions, second day too witnessed walkovers. In the first scheduled match, PG Departments got walkover Government Degree College Kathua. Later, in second match of the day, both Government Degree College Bhaderwah and SPMR College of Commerce failed to report the venue.
