Employees ready to fight for their legitimate rights : JCC

JAMMU, Dec 21: Joint Consultative Committee (JCC) has appealed the state government to resolve all pending issues of the employees.
In a meeting of state level leaders of JCC held here today, the members called for addressing the demands of the state government employees which are still unsolved after time framed agreement reached between JCC leaders and state government.
They said the demands include release of sixth pay commission arrears in favors of government employees, public sector employees and retired employees of J&K, enhancement in retirement age and confirmation of all daily wagers as well as ad hoc and casual employees.

Implementation of Sixth pays commission for PSUs, Urban bodies with financial support from government.
The meeting was held under the chairmanship of senior JCC leader and President of Employees Joint Action Committee (EJAC) Abdul Qayoom Wani.
Leaders of all the three regions of J&K state discussed the strategy for broader unity and framework for solving the legitimate demands of state government employees and temporary employees of J&K state.
In the meeting it was unanimity decided that before going for future course of action, the leaders of JCC will meeting honorable Chief, Cabinet Sub Committee and Chief SEC of J&K state and will appraise them about the problems and breach of trust which has been caused by delay tactics of state government and will try to solve all the issues peacefully.
The JCC will never succumb before pressure and will ask the employees to come on roads for the legitimate demands and not allow the government to use pressure tactics keeping in view the benefits of borders unity it was unanimously decided that the meeting of all state level leaders of JCC meeting will be held in near future to chalk out strategy for implementing the agreement reached between the JCC and government. It was hoped that all the leaders will leave personal enmities and will work for implementing the agreement employees to be ready for future course of action which will be decided by joint platform in next meeting.
In the meeting it was hoped that this time Government will realize the sensitivity of employee’s issues and will come up with expectations of the employees without compelling State Government employees to come on road once again.
