| Kathua villagers seek justice for evacuation | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
KATHUA 21 DEC, All the residents of village Mehatab pur staged a massive protest against the Kathua district administration for not taking serious notice about the problems of evacuation of the villagers from their actual residence.
The protestors later met ADDC kathua to seek justice for their survival which they alleged has been affected by the army constructing 60 feet wide road to link with ammunition depot in the area. The construction has resulted in demolition of many
houses leaving these villagers suffering.
The residents said that the previous DC kathua Sanjeev Verma assured them to find out an alternative wayout to settle their problems but nothing has been done in this direction. They further said the army is deliberately harassing them and evacuating the area which falls under the road for linking the ammunition depot. They alleged no one listening to the poor and downtrodden families and not even concerned MLA is paying any attention towards their plight.
