| We are deeply apologetic, Interlocutors to BJP, PP | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Dec 21: New Delhi's nominated interlocutors on Jammu Kashmir today apologized for `ignoring' the BJP and Panthers Party. The three member team of the interlocutors had failed to meet the leaders from the two parties yesterday.
"It was indeed a goof up. It should not have happened and we are apologize", said Radha Kumar, while reacting to a direct question why interlocutors failed to meet Jammu based leaders despite sending them invitations.
Shifting the entire blame on the authorities working behind the scene to organize schedule of meetings of various delegations, Radha Kumar flanked by head of the panel Dileep Padgaonkar said we did not even know that the meetings had been fixed.
"Had we known all these details we would have immediately sorted out the issue as there was clash between the two appointments", she said. She repeatedly said it is a goof up and we are deeply apologetic.
Meanwhile, Dileep Padgaonkar also maintained that there was no intention to ignore the Jammu based political voices as they had already met BJP and Panthers party representative in Rajouri and Poonch districts. He said they are in constant touch with the central BJP leadership in Delhi and claimed that Professor Bhim Singh was an old friend and there was no need for him to ignore him. The interlocutors later met leaders of the Panthers party in their office in Gandhinagar on their way to airport before catching the Srinagar flight. |
