Chopra Murder Case Court adjourns case for arguments on charge | | | Early times report JAMMU, Dec 21: In the much publicized murder case of Chopra Family, Principal Sessions Judge Jammu AK Shan today adjourned the case for arguments on January 11, 2011. The murder of cement Tycoon RB Chopra and his wife Madhu Chopra, daughter Saloni Chopra, Servant Sonu and driver Jagan Nath, on September 18, 2006. A Special Investigation team was constituted. The SIT arrested eight accused. One of the accused made approver and on his statement the king-pin of Pradhi Gang Sangram Singh and his Kiran Pradhi was declared absconder and general arrests warrants were issued against them. Later on Sangram Singh was produced by the Guna on the direction of Court and Sessions Courts Jammu handed over Sangram Singh to J&K Police for investigation. The police, however, failed to extract requisite information from Sangram Singh during custodial interrogation. The police sought consent for Narco Test which was given. Its report is awaited. —JNF |
