| ‘Give constitutional rights to SC/ST/OBCs’ | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, Feb 11: All India confederation of SC/ST/OBC organizations, Jammu and Kashmir demanded implementation of the constitutional rights of the weaker section in the state and other government orders so that SC/ST/OBC of the state are properly represented in public employment.
Addressing a press conference here today, Mohammad Abdullah Choudhary, general secretary of the confederation urged the people belonging to these depressed sections to come together and put up a collective effort to save reservation which is meant for those deserving them the most.
Mohd. Aslam Koli, Co-ordinator of the confederation also spoke on the occasion. He said that the so called Pahari speaking people, who are making efforts to be included into ST categories, are nothing but a mischief of imagination to hurt the constitutional rights of the ST’s.
Others who were present in the press conference were Romesh Sarmal, Mohd. Arif, Harbans Lal and others.
