Punjab wrestler Bagga lifts Shiv Khori Kesari title

JAMMU, March 04: Wrestler Bagaa of Amritsar in Punjab lifted the 13th Shiv Khori Kesari dangal title outplaying Sagar of Delhi in the main bout that took place at Government High School Ransoo, the base camp of Shiv Khori Shrine in Pouni block of district Reasi.
Member Legislative Assembly, Reasi, Baldev Raj Sharma was the chief guest, who presented cash prize of Rs 6000 while runners-up got Rs 5,000 as also other gifts. President J&K Indian Style Wrestling Association, Shiv Kumar Sharma presided over the function while Assistant Commissioner, Sukhdev Singh Sambyal, Tehsildar Settlement Reasi, Gopal Singh were guests of honour.
A part of historic annual three-day Shiv Khori Mela, dangal was organized by J&K Indian Style Wrestling Association in collaboration with J&K Tourism Department, Ransoo Dangal Committee and District Administration Reasi.
In all, 52 bouts were played in this vishal dangal. The second main bout was won by Digvijay of Khanna in Punjab beating Kulbir Singh of Kote Bhalwal Jammu. Third main bout went to Bobri of Jammu, who beat Love of Asr while Nawab of Haryana beat wrestler Parladh Singh of Rajouri in the fourth bout. Winners and loosers in all the four main bouts got cash prizes.
Ransoo Dangal Committee members and technical officials who helped for the conduct of this dangal were Kewal Krishan Sharma, Bhagwan Singh, Romesh Kohli, Paul Chand Sharma, Mohan Lal Sharma, Kartar Singh (Retd.) Headmaster, Swarn Singh, Romesh Sharma, Vijay Singh, Abdul Rehman, Sansar Chand, Jagdish Raj Verma, Romesh Chander, Suram Chand, Sat Paul Singh, Chain Kr. Sharma, Jugal Kishore Banathia, Maj. R.S Manhas, Capt Lehar Singh (Retd), Sanjeev Sharma, Sunil Sharma and Mohd Fareed.

Other Results: Billu of Kot Bhalwal bt Mohinder of Surjandhar; Karnail of Reasi bt Vijay of Harayana; Murad Ali of Jammu bt Karan of Amritsar; Prittam Singh of Reasi bt Goga of Akhnoor; Akram of Jammu bt Sukha of Khanna; Bir Singh of Reasi bt Subash of Haryana; Kirpal of Reasi bt Naresh of Jammu; Ravinder of Mahore bt Krishan of Delhi; Devinder of Jammu bt Satnam of Amritsar; Kartar of Narkot bt Sanjay. Bouts between Prem Verma of Jhiri Jammu and Gurbail Singh of Haryana and Swarn Singh of Kot Bhalwal and Kallu of Jammu ended in draw.
