Pak violates ceasefire, targets forward Indian posts

JAMMU, May 05: Violating ceasefire on the Line of Control (LoC) in KG sub-sector of Poonch, Pak troops today targetted forward Indian posts with RPGs and medium and small fire.
Pak troops violated ceasefire and fired RPGs and resorted to small and medium arms fire on Kranti, Ravi and Nangi outposts in KG area, official sources said.
The fire came from Pakistan's Peepal, Pattal, Daku and Burji posts of 653 Mujahideen Regiment, the sources added.They fired 12 PRGs, over 500 MMG rounds, besides small arms fire, from 3 pm to 4 pm.
India retaliated. There was no casualty on the Indian side. Casualty, if any, on the Pak side was not immediately known, sources said.
A tight vigil was being maintained all along the LoC to foil any infiltration bid by militants.
Pakistan had violated ceasefire and fired on Indian positions in Poonch on April 22 and 24.
