Inter-college symposium at Baba Farid College | | | Early Times Report KATHUA, May 8: Baba Farid College of Education today organized an Inter Collegiate Symposium on ‘Role of civil society and NGO’s in the Formulation of Lokpal Bill’. MLA Kathua Charanjit Singh was the chief guest while Dr. (Prof) A.K. Malhotra, Principal Govt College for women presided over the function. Lalit Kumar Mahajan (Advocate) National Additional Secretary General Bharat Vikas Parished was guest of honour. Earlier Director of the College Dr. Ram Murti Sharma while welcoming the guests explained the technicalities and significance of the topic. The first, second and third position was secured by Geetanjali Sharma from Ashoka college of education, Manjit Kour from Bhagat Kabir College of Education and Hakimat Singh from Vivekananda College of Education respectively while Preeti Malhotra of Baba Farid College got consolation prize. Amongst others, those who attended the symposium included representatives and office bearers of Saviour of Innocent labour (SOIL), Tagore Vidyarathi Vikas Sanstha, kathua Vikas manch, Bharat Vikas Parishad, Saparsh India Foundation, Anti Corruption Society and Morning Walkers Association. Mementoes and certificates of participation were awarded to the participants.
