| Anganwadi workers hold protest, demand govt employee status | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, July 11:
Anganwadi Workers Welfare Association held a demonstration at Mubarak Mandi Jammu as part of nationwide agitation and demanded from the central and state government to declare them as Govt employees while ICD Scheme should be made department.
The workers from different districts and blocks of Jammu Division participated in the agitation. Swarna Choudhary President, Neelam Sharma General Secretary, Lakseman Ravinedr Singh Senior Leader, Vijay Chandel, Harbans Choudhary, President/ Gen. Secreatry BMS J&K State, Kaushally Devi, Santosh Kumari, Soma Devi, Swarn Kanta, Anju Devi, Kaneez Choudhary and Naresh addressed the workers.
Addressing the anganwadi workers, the speakers demanded that the central/state government should declare govt employees and ICD Scheme is implemented in letter and spirit and salary be paid month wise.
The speakers demanded that promotion orders of supervisors should be issued immediately, T.A/ DA, Teaching allowance and Fuel charges of Rs 500 per month for nutrition preparation.
