| Swaraj Peeth Trust Chairman calls on Governor | | | EARLY TIMES report
Jammu, Feb 13: N N Vohra, Jammu and Kashmir Governor, has emphasized the need for the promotion of Gandhian philosophy of peace, harmony, tolerance, brotherhood, secularism and non-violence to establish a more harmonious and tolerant society.
The Governor was interacting with Rajiv Vora, Chairman, Swaraj Peeth Trust, Delhi, and Dr Niru Vora, both noted Gandhians, who called on him at Raj Bhavan here today.
The Governor stressed the crucial importance of enlarging awareness among the younger generation about the Mahatma's teachings of peace and harmony. He called for increasing involvement of the students and youth at large in the promotion of Gandhian values.
The Chairman, Swaraj Peeth Trust, briefed the Governor about the activities of the Trust being carried out for the promotion of Gandhian values, the main focus of which has been to propagate the Gandhian philosophy of non-violence, peace and harmony among the people of the State. |
