Srinagar, Oct 4: Police on Saturday attached the property of Sajad Ahmad Sheikh, head of The Resistance Front (TRF) terror outfit and the alleged mastermind of the Pahalgam attack, under the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act here, an official said.
The TRF is a proxy of the Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) outfit. The NIA had designated Sajad Ahmad Sheikh alias Sajad Gul a terrorist in April 2022 and announced a reward of Rs 10 lakh on his head.

JAMMU, Oct 4: The Jammu and Kashmir Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) Saturday trapped and arrested Head Constable for demanding and accepting a bribe of Rs 8,000. A spokesman in a statement, said that the complainant alleged that after being detained in a case, he was granted interim bail by the Court on July-25-2025 with the condition to report daily at PS Mahore between 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM.
“However, during this period, HC Mahroof Ahmed harassed the complainant, kept him at the police station beyond the prescribed time, and demanded a bribe of Rs 8,000 for permitting timely release. The bribe was paid on 01.10.2025 inside the police station premises,” it reads.

Srinagar, Oct 4: National Conference president Farooq Abdullah (87) was hospitalised on Saturday as he was not keeping well for the past few days, party leaders said.
The former Jammu and Kashmir chief minister developed infection in the abdomen earlier this week and was taken to a private hospital for treatment, the leaders said.

SAMBA/JAMMU, Oct 4: Security forces have launched a search operation after a Pakistani drone was sighted hovering over a forward village along the International Border in Jammu and Kashmir’s Samba district, officials said on Saturday.
The drone-like object was seen coming from the Pakistani side and hovered over Nanga village in the Ramgarh sector late Friday, triggering alarm in the border belt, they said.

New Delhi, Oct 4: The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has told the Supreme Court that it has decided to publish the provisional answer key after the preliminary examination is conducted.

Srinagar, Oct 4: The Economic Offences Wing (EOW) of the Crime Branch, Kashmir, has registered a case against five people for their alleged involvement in circulating a forged selection list under the National Health Mission (NHM), the agency said on Saturday.
